Balances emotions
An uplifting room scent, the oil can help to counter exhaustion and depression.
Soothes aches and pains
Cinnamon essential oil is warming if you feel particularly chilly, as it helps to boost circulation to the extremities. It’s especially effective for reviving and soothing sore joints aggravated by cold, damp weather.
Acts as an antiseptic
Cinnamon essential oil is effective against a broad range of bacteria, viruses, and parasites, especially lice and scabies.
Relatively nontoxic. Its major component, eugenol, causes irritation to mucous membranes: use in moderation and very well diluted (less than 0.5 per cent). Use only cinnamon leaf essential oil on the skin (not cinnamon bark).
