Clears the head
A few drops of wintergreen essential oil in a vaporizer or diffuser aids breathing and helps relieve stress and tension.
Relieves pain
The oil is a popular ingredient in muscle ointments and rubs. It contains a natural aspirin-like analgesic that can help to relieve pain locally. Used in a compress, the oil can alleviate headaches, muscle cramps, joint pain, and tendinitis, and can also bring some relief to pain caused by chronic conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism.
Aids digestion
Once absorbed through the skin, the oil can stimulate the digestive process by triggering the release of digestive juices.
Dilute well before use (less than 2 per cent). Avoid during pregnancy and if breastfeeding. Not suitable for young children. Avoid if on anticoagulant medication and if sensitive to aspirin.
